Homecare FAQ
Why should I choose your company?
We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, high-quality care that is tailored to each individual. Our team is dedicated to making life easier for you while promoting independence and dignity.
Are you regulated by the CQC?
Yes, we are! We are proud to be rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Being regulated by the CQC means that we adhere to stringent standards in key areas such as recruitment, training, service delivery, and quality assurance. This ensures that you receive care that is safe, effective, compassionate, and of the highest standard.
Are your Care Professionals qualified and trained?
Absolutely! All of our Carer Professionals complete mandatory training each year, including specialized care for various health conditions. At People Partners, professional development is important to us, and our staff receive continuous support and ongoing training to ensure the highest standards of care.
Additionally, every carer is fully DBS-checked, and we require three professional references before they begin their employment with us. Your safety and well-being are of great importance to us.
What support can you offer at People Partners?
We offer a wide range of services tailored to meet your individual needs, including but not limited to:
Personal Care: Assistance with bathing, dressing, and other daily tasks.
Medication Support: Help with managing and taking your prescribed medications, as well as support with ordering and collecting them from the pharmacy.
Housekeeping: Cleaning, laundry, and keeping your home tidy.
Meal Preparation and Home Cooking: Preparing meals to suit your preferences and dietary needs, meals cooked from scratch.
Companionship: Friendly conversation and emotional support.
How flexible is the care you provide?
Our care plans are designed to be entirely flexible. Whether you need short-term care for recovery or long-term ongoing support, we can adapt to your changing needs and preferences.
You are always in control of the level and type of care you receive, ensuring it fits seamlessly into your life and evolves as your circumstances change. To ensure the best possible support, we review your care plan at least every three months and sooner when needed.
What happens if I need to cancel a visit or if I no longer need care?
We understand that plans can change. We simply ask for 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations, whether short-term or long-term.
Will my Care Professional arrive at the same time each day?
We aim to provide consistency in your care schedule, and when you start out with us you can let us know your preferred visit times, we will then aim to allocate a consistent time for your visits. If your needs or preferences change, we can permanently adjust your care visit times with some advance notice. We are also happy to be flexible—if you have occasional appointments or specific needs, we can adapt the visit times to fit your schedule.
Will I have a regular team of Care Professional?
Yes, absolutely! You will never have a stranger turn up at your door. It will always be a friendly, familiar face from your regular team of Care Professionals. When you first begin your package of care, your team will shadow your visits (at no extra charge) to ensure they fully understand your preferences and how you like things done.
Will I get a say in who is in my care team?
Yes, you will! As we begin planning your care you can share your hobbies, interests, and the type of carer you feel would best suit you. We will then carefully pair you with a like-minded carer who matches your preferences.
If, for any reason, you do not feel a connection with your Care Professional, please do not hesitate to let us know. Your comfort and trust are our top priorities, and we will gladly make a change.
Do all of your Carer Professionals drive?
Yes, all our Care Professionals drive, which means they can arrive on time for your care visits without relying on public transport (except for occasional delays due to traffic).
Additionally, all of our Carer Professionals have business insurance, so they can support you in the community by using their own vehicles for trips to appointments, shops, or social outings.
